I’m a bit late to this ad but just couldn’t miss an opportunity to share it. Without the copy it’s just a standard, cool basketball photo, but the copy makes it just soo much better. It’s so much more than just a sneakers ad, it’s an ad that shows it understands the target audience, their way of thinking, and the sport itself. So simple, yet so deep, I just love it!

Although it’s a little late and probably everyone forgot about the Super Bowl, I just had to take my pick and continue the tradition of choosing the best Super Bowl ads. I’ll start this off by saying Dani Komunikacija is always awesome. Year after year, I prepare myself that I might have too big of expectations based on the previous experience, that it’s too tough to keep up the same level of quality and energy with each new conference, but somehow, they always seem to grow and upgrade, and absolutely never let me down.

But I stand corrected š This ad is a perfect example of witty, funny response to a trending event. In their latest ad, Peloton connects to the very much publicized sequel of “Sex and the City“. Sorry for the spoiler, but I guess you’ve all probably heard this already, one of the main characters of the show Mr.Big dies in the second episode after his regular cycling exercise with Peloton.

Lovely storytelling, perfect direction, awesome shots with only a phone…I’m guessing you’re sensing we are talking about Apple‘s latest ad. Directed by Oscar Nominee Jason Reitman and his father, Oscar Nominee Ivan Reitman, the story of a girl and a snowman named Simon wins over our hearts in just 3 minutes.

One of my favorite things about modern marketing is the focus that is placed on storytelling. Giving the primate to the story instead of the product itself can make the ad so much stronger and effective. One of the great examples of this approach is the latest ad by Puma. Developed in collaboration with J.Coles’ production Dreamville, it presents a dreamy story of a child wanting to become a basketball player.

Spotify continues the series of great campaigns š This time, they bring a great blend of nostalgia and creativity, making us as one of my friends said āfeel old and want Spotify at the same timeā. It might be my age, ācause at 33 this is the perfect reminder of my childhood and current state, but it is also the great copy writing that makes this campaign so great.
